EasyCargo.Link - Proposed Redesign of Shipment Tracking Flow

Project summary

Context

This redesign was created as a demonstration of my UX/UI capabilities for a potential role at the company. The project was initiated to evaluate how design improvements could impact usability.

Scope

Focus: Redesign of a core user flow: checking shipment statuses

Deliverables: Heuristic analysis, UI redesign of core flow, including:  login, dashboard, shipment information page, and messages

Limitations: I worked from a screen recording walkthrough and did not have direct access to the platform.

Redesign Goals

  • Internal impact

Easier onboarding for new team members

Fewer internal questions about shipment status

Less time spent manually keeping clients in the loop

  • Problem

The current interface, is unintuitive, and hides key shipment information. Users must already “know” how to use it, making it difficult for newcomers and inefficient for daily tasks.

  • Project goal

Fuente de la citaRedesign a core flow of the EasyCargo.Link app to improve usability for both internal staff and clients.

  • Redesign priorities

    Streamline Access to Information

Reduce friction in checking shipment details or communicating updates.

    Improve Visual Hierarchy

So users can quickly scan and understand content without guesswork

Feedback

  • Sign in page is inconsistent

  • Landing page contains no info

  • To see all info is often required to scroll

  • Pop-ups inhibit information visibility

  • Key information is hidden

Heuristic Audit

Visibility of System Status

Important info gets lost in clutter or hidden in scrolls and pop-ups.

Flexibility and Efficiency of Use

Filters and tools don’t work as intended, and the interface isn’t intuitive.

Recognition Rather Than Recall

Context disappears as you scroll or open pop-ups—users have to remember what they saw.

Aesthetic and Minimalist Design

The layout lacks focus—too much at once, no clear priority.
